Mercedes-Benz SLM AMG will get a mid-engine configuration
Remember the rumors about a future baby Mercedes SLS AMG? Apparently the new model will be called the SLM (with M standing for mid-engine) and will go on sale in 2015 at a price of $165,000.
Mercedes opted for a mid-engine configuration, as a "front-engine sports car would have been too close to the SL, which is an important cash cow for the brand." So, the next SLM will be all about lightness and efficiency, and will also serve as a serious competitor for models like the Audi R8 and the production version of the BMW Vision EfficientDynamics coupe especially with its mid-engine design.

That one is the new AMG Coupe model?
It's similar to Audi R8, but still beautiful.
